Patches Journey

This site chronicles Patches journey through OSA

Did you really just look at my cookie??

Filed under: Uncategorized — careygram at 7:35 pm on Monday, March 21, 2016

Or in Patches speak “grrrrrrrrrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRR”.  My son and I can’t stop laughing at what just happened.

So, back it up a little…..my girl had a big day today.  She spent the majority of it outside barking at the nice men cutting down the tree next door.  While her brother snored.  She had chicken thighs for breakfast and a heaping pile of rotisserie chicken for lunch.  SOooooooooooooo, after lunch she cozied up on her bed for a little nap and I put an oreo next to her for snacking when she woke up.  Well……..her brother saw the cookie……..he looked at her cookie…….and she SAW him looking at her cookie. We heard a growl, Rooster jumped back a couple of inches and started to bark and whine.  And when I looked back at her…….she was smiling.  She’s still got it.

OMD!! And we’re smiling too!!! Sorry Rooster, but this is hilarious!!

For a se ior dog who doesn’t hear very well, who doesn’t see very well and has a few other “challenges, YES INDEEDY! PATCHES STILL HAS IT…and then some!!! 🙂

Barking at someone in the neighbor’s yard (apparently Patches thought they were trying to steal a tree) and woofing down a huge breakfast….yeah, PATCHES IS STILL PATCHES!!
YAY PATCHES!!!!!!!!!!:-)

One of my favorite parts of this whole delightful story is you putting an Oreo next to her so she’d have it when she woke up from her nap! LOOOOOOVE IT!!!

Isn’t spoiling our tripawds the most fun ever??!

You really, really made my day…week…year…and beyond!

Hugs hugs hugs and lots of love!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

LOL, thank you Sally, as always and so much. But yes, it was like a comedy routine. It was just impossibly funny. She is my little feisty spitfire and Rooster got flashbacks to when she first came to live with us. He wasn’t even allowed to THINK about being near the food dishes. Who would have thought that we’d ever see them share a plate but it has happened. She’s the dog we always knew she could be. But I guess the moral of the story is, don’t mess with her cookie 😉
And doesn’t everyone, human or canine, sleep with a cookie next to their bed just in case? OMD I needed that moment. Rooster did NOT.
Have a lovely evening, thank you for all the love and support, I send mine to you.

Lol Debbie, I am also in awe that you could put an Oreo cookie next to your dog, for later? My guy would have woke up immediately he would not have any of that waiting for later😀 Theresa and Zeus

I think she was full of rotisserie chicken lol. Now if it were her brother………he doesn’t seem to have a “full” button 🙂
    Love our fur kids 🙂

LOL, poor Rooster. She’s all the woman he can handle. I love her spirit and how feisty she is. Not sure Rooster would say the same thing but I know he adores his sister no matter what. Easter should be a handy little feast for them though for them every day is a feast 🙂 Wouldn’t have it any other way.
