Long Live the Queen
I can’t believe my girl is so happy and strong. Â She’s still here and I’m still just holding and hugging her every second that she’ll let me. Â She’s happy, she’s comfy and she’s still breathing easy. Â I notice that she seems to sleep more during the day and eat less during the day but I think that’s because someone who is not me was slacking off on giving her the cannabis oil. Â The other adult human doesn’t want to trick his girl into taking the yucky oil that she doesn’t like and he slacked off. Â He has seen the difference in her and he wants to see her eating and happy so she’s back on the oil consistently and I don’t know if this will help or not. Â She might just be getting tired. Â We’re really not sure how old she is. Â Could be 12…….could be 15. Â Doesn’t matter……….the priority is her comfort and happiness. Â Â And deli ham. Â She ate a half a pound last night. Â She’s put up a hell of a good fight and her spirit is un-defeatable. So I guess it’s no news for now other than her cuteness is still cute, still holding her own and still tolerating infinite hugs and kisses. Â Sometimes I meander over the dark side and dread the inevitable but she keeps me present and accountable. Â After all if I don’t focus on the present moment who will rub her little head and kiss her little nose and break up the oreos in her bowl and fix the ham “just so”? Â Here’s to living like a queen. Â Long live the queen.

Amen! Debbie….she deserves all the spoiling and royal treatment you can dish out! Try to focus on the hugs and kisses and store up enough love to last a lifetime.

Thanks Paula, that’s great advice. I’m storing up love and making memories for a lifetime. I know I’ll miss her when she’s gone but I’ll see her again when I go, this is just temporary but the love is forever. Thank you again for your sweet words. They really do help!

Always, always, always getting updates on Patches…preferably with pictures though! Hint! 🙂
Latches is xomfy, she’s still her cute self, she enjoys her nap times (seniors love their naps),she loves her ham, she loves her Oreos,she loves her humans and she loves being loved and spoiled by her humans! Yes, Patches is loving life and loving being treated like the Queen she is!! 🙂
All is well with the Queen! Long live Queen Patches!! I think a pocture of Queen Patches with her crown would be appropriate! Yet another hint!

PS. For the human who is not wanting to give Patches her cannabis, a suggestion. I think you can get empty “capsules” from the Pharmacy. You may possibly be able to put the oil in those then Patches wouldn’t have to taste it. Just throwing that out there.

Sally, that’s genius about the capsules. I will absolutely try that. i will say this……..my girl may not hear well, might not see as good as she once used to but her sniffer works overtime. She’s like a hound dog I swear. LOL.
Thanks for always reading and saying wonderful things. I love hearing from you and since you asked……you will see the royal portraits in a separate post. My girl is just so stinkin’ cute and now that she’s getting the cannabis oil again consistently (we’ve been sneaking it under her gum while she’s sleeping) she’s eating again. A lot. It’s a jesus miracle I swear lol. Now to find a good crown! Must go shopping…..

Just hopped over to pictures of the portraits of her Royal Highness! Patches really is precious!
I guess you’ve figured out by now I can’t type…to state the obviius! I guess you figured out my first sentence on my reply above left out the word LOVE…”always, always LOVE getting updates..etc.
Anyway, just wanted to add you can probably find a “Princess crown” in little girl’s department in Target or maybe Walmart.
And HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEB!! I vaguely remember my 50th birthday…it’s been awhile!!! 🙂

Hahahah, thank you sally. She’s my cutie pie and whhhhhhaaaaaat? Crown in Target? I need to get one and take picture 🙂 Thank you for loving our pictures and updates. I love posting them.
